First class features leather seats with fabulously sleek, retro styling - and they're very comfortable, too. When you want to sleep, a stewardess will turn the seat into a six-foot bed with adjustable head and shoulder supports, draping it with a cosy blue sheet and coverlet decorated with stars. A partition unfolds from the head of each seat to provide a 'bedroom' with more privacy.. Service in the small cabin is attentive, and configured 1-2-1. On boarding, each passenger is given a personalized folder with details of all the service and menus, plus duty-free and Skyshop brochures. In first class, you have à la carte service, free choice of menu order and time of service, last-minute breakfast until 30 minutes before landing, freshly made food, and choice of your favourite movie from the "On-Board Videotheque", Personal Video Player.
If you're travelling to Frankfurt or Munich from January and arrive in the morning, you'll also be able to take a shower in the new Lufthansa lounge and have a light breakfast. In addition, you can use a dayroom at a nearby Kempinski hotelcy.
Business Class seat: ergonomic seat, increased seat pitch (48" inches), individually adjustable headrest, user-friendly seat controls, more storage space, cocktail tray in the seat, laptop connection in each seat starting summer 1999.
Business Class service: choice between various hors d'oeuvres, main dishes and desserts, wide range of drinks, quick meal on request, last minute breakfast, wide choice of entertainment options - news and current affairs, feature films and music.
